Why are you on the board for cOMmunity collective? I’m currently a yoga teacher and I will always be a student of yoga. Practicing yoga has helped me learn presence, to listen to my body, how to breathe, patience and much more. But, most importantly I’ve learned self-love. I’m endlessly grateful for all of my yoga teachers who have lit the way, and I’m honored to share this light with others in our community.

 

Favorite yoga pose and why: Warrior III or Virabhadrasana III. Warrior III is a challenging pose of balance and strength. I love a flow with Warrior III repeaters. I feel fierce, present and strong. I’m activated through my whole body. In Warrior III I’m reminded of my own inner-strength.

Least favorite yoga pose and why: Eagle pose. I’ve never been able to hook the top of my lifted foot behind my standing-leg calf. I used to find this pose frustrating since I’m pretty flexible. However, I’ve learned that is okay that my body is not capable to advance in this pose. I continue to practice a modified Eagle pose while focusing on the many other physical and mental benefits of the pose.
