Yoga is not only an exercise for the body but a way to calm the mind. There are eight limbs of yoga and the postures (asana) are only one limb. Through breathing techniques, concentration, meditation, etc., an individual that practices several limbs of yoga becomes more self aware. This might include learning to be present in the moment, giving grace to one’s self and finding peace in a chaotic world. We can’t wait to continue spreading the gift of yoga to our younger populations!
